I have sold a few Silver Star Medals in the past few weeks, but this is the best of the lot. This is a WWII vintage low numbered: # 61765 , Silver Star Medal. It has the original WWII type slot type broach and original ribbon. The low number puts it in the May 1945 Navy/USMC contract, that was borrowed from the Army, during the end of the war, (A. Menke research). The planchet, broach and ribbon are all in excellent mint condion. The set comes with the original ribbon bar, the original lapel pin, an extra swatch of ribbon and the original named WWII named black leattte case. This example of the Silver Star medal would be hard to upgrade!. If you want an excellent, mint conditon WWII example of the Silver Star medal, this is it! T is no reserve in the auction, so bid to buy.
