This listing represents perhaps the most scarce piece of women's vintage uniform memorabilia I have ever listed. is an extremely rare, WAC or Nurse Officer's OD green wool tie in about near mint condition. I do not even have one of these in my collection. I have never even seen one until I picked this up last weekend. It is not in the reference book I use, GI, Government Issue, A Collector's Guide to the European Theatre. I had the tie professionally dry cleaned. The tie came from the estate of a WWII Army Nurse. The external stitching is very solid, and t are no signs of stains, soiling, fading, fraying, or wear. T three moth spots that may not show when the tunic is button and tie is worn. The tie is clean and pressed. It measures 45 inches in length, and 3.25 inches at its widest. It came with the Nurse's Tunic, Skirt, Ike Jacket, Tan Wool Tie and Wool Trousers I have listed separately. Tunics can be found as well as shirts; however, ties are very difficult to come by (with most having been used up in civilian life or spoiled in a cellar or attic). This highly coveted WWII WAC or Nurse Officer's OD wool tie in near mint condition would be a fantastic addition, upgrade and/or completion to a WWII WAC or Nurse Officer Uniform collection.
