antique original WW 2 us army world war two WWII uniform us army officers over coat large size excellent condition 2ND pattern u.s. army MAKINAW jacket light o.d. green - early war issue color the only problems with this jacket - are that it is just a bit faded , and there are few loose threads on the buttons it is in very good cond . the liner label is marked REGULATION ARMY OFFICERS OVER COAT ...... the inside the lapel pocket tag is marked MFR'S CODE #520 dated august 11 1942 w 669 qm 20606 QMC TENT SPEC. P.Q.D. 76 B dated march 12 1942 stock no. 55 c 3342 70 phila q.m. depot size 39 R THIS wool jacket is in perfect condition the makers tag inside the inner lapel pocket is marked " 39 R " but i would say it is equal to a modern size 42 - 44 this is the rare ,.. light o.d. green version these jackets are scarce , there is a famous world war two era photograph of general Eisenhower wearing one just like it -a must have for U.S. military uniform collectors , vintage clothing and history buffs these are what was worn during the first year of the war - -the survival rate is very low -in this condition - a must have for the advanced world war two military uniform collector ! reinactors or history buff !
