Genuine, authentic, original hand signed photograph of Waffen Elite Panzer Obersturmbannfuhrer Karl Sattler. Sattler was a highly decorated German tank troop attack commander during WW2. Sattler fought in many important battles in WW2, including the Battle of Normandy, but received the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross in January, 1945, in extreme bravery and successful military leadership in the Southern France/Germany area against the Allies, as Commander of his own Kampfgruppe Sattler. The glossy black and white photograph measures: 8 x 10 inches, and shows Sattler in his Waffen Elite officers uniform wearing his Knights Cross, and he has signed and inscribed the photograph in blue ballpoint ink below his image, postwar, and dated it "January '45" (the date the foto was originally taken.) Except for minor edgewear, the foto is in very good condition. This is an usually large foto, most Waffen SS Knights Cross winners have only small or postcard size fotos. I have been a member of the Manuscript Society since 1956 and am selling part of my collection. See my other Ebay offers.
