This Is a SUPERB ww2 raf/rcaf MKIVB flying goggles, with original flip down sun screen in good used condition, strap is lovely and soft leather, straps still retain alot of elasticity. Leather chamois nose cushion is Nice clean , face cushions though have gone hard , however this is common with these goggles. main lenses are Very clear , Just a Minute Very Little Flea Bite nibble on one Lens Hardly Noticable , the flip down screen Is Very Good , The Paintwork is Very Good These Goggles Have Had Little Use ,These GOGGLES are IDEAL For The raf collector, raf museum or raf re-enactor , I am selling 2 More RAF ITEMS A TINTED Pair Of Goggles & A Leather Flying Helmet I I HAVE BEEN TOLD THESE GOGGLES are MK1V GOGGLES NOT MK1VB - The MK1V Goggles Are Rarer Hi Just for your info, the goggles are actually MKIVs, not MKIVBs. You can tell this by the small hinges on the outside of the frame. They then tried to make the frame lighter when they introduced the MKIVA which were made of a sort of bakerlite/plastic material which made them actually slightly heavier. They then brought in the MKIVBs which looked very much like the MKIVs with the frame being made of metal again but without the hinges. MKIVBs are fairly easy to pick up, MKIVs less so and the MKIVAs are like hens teeth, probably even rarer than that! ROB Thanks for The Information Rob read more
