PLEASE NOTE -all items sold are Antique /Vintage and used -whilst I try and describe condition to the best of my ability all items are used and sold as such.I bought a huge abount of documents and partial uniform belonging to F/Lt F.Browne - I believe he was a Navigator ,appears to have belonged to Pathfinder Sqn. and gained promotion and Distinguished Flying Medal for raids over Germay. I believe he was Mentioned in Despatches as there are several London Gazettes.DFM awarded to (then) Sergeant Frank William Brown no.158 Sqn. for quiet determination and skill as Bomb Aimer and Assistant Navigator during various sorties over some of enemy's most heavily defended targets -Berlin,Hamburg,CologneEssen,Kiel,Dortmund etc.He sent lots of letters to outfitters asking for ties of old units inc. Bomber Command,Flying Training Command,Technical Training Command,Transport Command,10 OTU,17 OTU,Squadrons 91,575,158 and 233 -This is an excellent indication of the units /Squadrons that the Officer served withI also have a suitcase filled with WW2 dated RAF map and some flight bags and suitcase belonging to OfficerThere is a huge quantity of paperwork that I have had to sift through - I have tried to present in some type of order - he never through anything away by the look of it - there is approx a further 10Kg of post war papers still to look read more
