Original framed scroll commemorating the death in service of Sergeant R W Myers of the Royal Air Force. Measuring 13" x 9" in a sealed gilt frame. Paper scroll has a small hole alongside the Royal crest. We haven't removed the backing so cannot be sure if the small marks present are on the inside of the glass or the paper scroll. From our Research ( which we will include a copy of in the auction) Sergeant R W Myers was a British National killed in action on August 27/28th 1944 on duty in Konigsberg. A member of 50 Squadron Bomber Command based at RAF Skellingthorpe. Sergeant Myers flew a Mark III Lancaster VN-H and is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.
