WW2 U.S.army ski pin 10th mountain division ,Camp Hale Up for auction is a unusual WW2 U.S. army ski pin with silver crossed skis with a round silver disc behind the skis and a signal corps emblem on the front.The silver disc is stamped U.S. , the "U" on the left hand side of the skis and the "S" on the right hand side (see pictures) .This type of ski pin was available with different branches of insignia on the front including WAC,artillery,engineers and medical and would have been sold in the PX at Camp Hale and jewellers in the Colorado area .The 10th mountain Division trained at Camp Hale from1942 to 1944 up until the left for Italy .The ski pin would have been worn by a service man in the 110th signal corps. There are no markings on the pin which shows lovely patina. I have no information on the pin or vets name who it came from as I purchased it from a military show in Europe years ago No bids from Poland,sorry.Payment due within 3 days of auction end ,if not bidder will be reported to e bay and the item relised Shipping Europe $10.00 insured up to £30.00 USA $14.00 insured up to £30.00
