I recently purchased at an Estate Sale a few World War 2 Uniforms from a former soldier who served in the US Army Combat Medical Corps. I purchased 2 Field Jackets, a flannel shirt, a long overcoat, trousers & a couple hats. This auction is for one of the field jackets. Features snap & zipper down the middle closures (Conmar zipper), shoulder epaulets (button closure), 2 front pockets (button closure), sleeve cuffs with 2 button adjustable closure, 1 Patch down right sleeve (wreath?), 1 Patch down left sleeve (see photo), 2 inside pockets, one inside pocket has label that reads: "Jackets, Field, Wool, O.D., Stock No. 55-J-384-685..Size 40R..Spir??, Hirschenfang & Sch???, Inc..P.O. No. 13563.. Dated Jun30, 1944..Pattern Date 5/10/44..Spec. P.Q.D. No 437..Phila. Q.M. Depot". Stated size 40R, measures 20" from pit to pit, 23" from top to bottom & 23" sleeves (measured from top shoulder seam to sleeves end).
