Beautiful WW2 USMC enlisted dress blue uniform for a sgt. paratrooper who served in the 5th Division. Chest size is about a 39, and sleeve length from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve is about 25" to 26". Plastic covered ribbons, and pin back sterling jump / parachutist wings. Parachute specialty striker on lower left sleeve. Embroidered on red felt sgt. chevrons. Gold thread ruptured duck on blue wool on right breast. Custom tailor tag for a Los Angeles tailor inside uniform. Enlisted collar emblems. Just beautiful condition. Trousers have a 30" waist, by 32 1/2" inseam ( 42" outter seam). This is a set you will not have to up-grade later - really choice. On the tag for the trousers t is a word - STRIPE - don't know if this is a name or what. Dated '45. This grunt probably got these just as he was being discharged. Again, really nice set. Out of Bob Byrd's collection.
