you have a sterling-marked, WWII Navy Officer's ring. The ring is elaborated designed and features an Anchor with USN on the front flanked by an Eagles perched on a sword above a shield on one side and another perched on a sword over a banner and a smaller eagle with the words, duty, honor, trust. Sterling is stamped to the interior. The eagles, swords, and shields are exquisitely designed and very finely detailed. T is very little wear to the detail, and the ring is wonderfully preserved. The ring has some heft and is a good size. The ring measures larger than .75 inches in diameter. It approximates a size 9.5. I take a 10 and it is a bit of a tight fit. The ring comes from the estate of a Commander. A padded back with First Class Postage and tracking slip would be fine in lieu of the usual Priority Mail Shipping option. The ring is appropriate for wear today by a Navy Officer serving in the war on terror. The ring is just the personal item you need to complete your WWII Navy Officer's Grouping. This sterling marked, WWII US Navy Officer's Ring with embossed Anchor, Eagles and Shields would make a wonderful addition to a WWII USN Officer's collection.
