Hey - this is the ultimate captured WW2 Imperial Japanese flag. It is complete with a set of capture papers signed by a military intelegence officer, the flag is stamped too. The flag comes with it's orignal envelope that it was sent home from the war in. This bears the vets name and a capture paper attached. A second loose capture paper is also included. The flag had belonged to a Japanese soldier named Kato Noburu. This flag aslo bears extensive signatures, writing, artwork, cartoon stamps and stamps from shinto or Buddist shrines. Wow - I have never seen so much variety on a flag. It is also a large size - it is 37" wide x 29" high. It is in very good condition with no holes and only minor wear.
Winning bidder to pay shipping of $4.00, or $12.50 overseas. Wnning bidder has a three day inspection peiod. This is a historical tribute to the brave people who fought in this war. It tells a story on a personal level, far from what side you were one. May they both take solice in the fact that our great countries are at peace today. What more could we ask other than to never forget. This flag is museum quality - frame it and show it off - it has a story to tell. The capture papers were issued in 1944. The red is solid and pure, it just does not photograph well. I have been hearing it is an excellent example, and if t is a must have flag in your collection, this is it. All silk, and marked with many interesting and different elements rarley all seen on one flag. The size is also larger than most. It will be noted that the capture paper number matches the miltary intelegence stamp on the flag - which is great and seldom seen. I have gotten so many request and offers on this, I can hardly count them. So please, do bid on this, you you will regret that you did not.
