Very well made and big. Blade appears to be made from a file. I have seen blades made from files before, and they tend to be thin, but this blade is Almost 3/16" thick. And it is almost 8" long! It must have been some file. The knife is just over 12" long from end to end. This thick heavy blade will also shave hair! (As tested on my arm!) The handle is made of stacked clear and black materials with a really well shaped pommel made of aluminium. The pommel is both threaded and pinned! (you can see the construction in the handle through the clear stacks.) Additionally, 2 more pins go from the rear of the pommel into the handle material. This knife is solid, does not rattle, and probably never would even with heavy use. My grandpaw made a similar knife in WWII, but he did not know that he should treasure it, and lost his on a hunting trip. This knife was obviously well cared for. T are lots of theatre knives on ebay these days. Some are pretty, but their functionality is questionable. I would take this knife over a Ka-Bar any day! 3 Day sale! PayPal only please!
