For auction is, a WWI era 89th Infantry Division patch, in a rare blue on white monogram configuration.The "MW" monogram for middle west was approved for wear upon the units arrival in France. This unit was activated on 25 October 1918This example is a composite style patch, comprising blue wool twill, hand stitched to white wool felt. The patch is well worn and dingy and was machine sewn to it's tunic. This patch passes all known tests for originality and measures 8.2 cm. in diameter. Thanks for looking.
