We have a largecollection of World War I and World War II items from a father who served in WWI and his son who served in WWII, that we will be listing over the next 2-3 nights. The WWII items include a rare collection of artifacts from the 748 Tank Battalion including a rare Unit Banner, several Tank Destroyer patches, a complete uniform jacket with ribbons, patches, rank badge and insignias, a very rare copy of “Saga of the Rhinos” or “A Brief History of the 748 Batallion” (complete with maps of the battalions WWII campaign), a rare group photograph of Company A, discharge papers, welcome home banner, “Serving our Country” banner a lot of capture German booty and did we mention a GREAT Unit Banner. The WWI items all involve the Army 77 th Infantry Division, 302 nd Battalion, Company A and includes two group photos, a first edition copy of the book “The History of the 77 th Division”, ephemera including: draft board selection card; troopship R.M.S. Carmania ship passes for mess hall and sleeping berth numbers; call for physical; promotion papers and a Roll of Honor poster signed by many men in this unit. We will be listing the WWI items first and then the Tank Battalion items.
