WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1909 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt or S&W M1917 .45LC Revolver - Marked G&K 1918 w/A.G. Inspector Initals - Very Nice Condition Up for auction is WWI AEF US Army/USMC M1909 Leather Belt Holster for the Colt or S&W M1917 .45LC Revovler. This is a vintage old military belt holster. It is used, see photo's for Condition. The leather is still soft and supple. There is are no repairs or crazing in the leather. No rips or tears in the leather. Some surface cracking on the top of the belt loop. All of the seams are intact and tight. There is NO signs of fraying in any of the stiching. The leather has darkened with age, but still retains most of the rich russet brown color. It has a worn US oval logo on the front. On the rear of the holster it is marked G&K 1917 A.G. The markings are readable. The holster end plug with the brass loop. It still has the original elk leather leg tie. This is a nice example of the model holster. This holster IS NOT a Left Hand design. It was originally designed to be carried on the Right Side of the waist with the gun in the "Butt Forward" position. Don't miss your chance to bid.
