This is a great set of medals! It is a set of WWI British medals named to a Private in the Royal Sussex Regiment. This was a very highly decorated Regiment that had many Battle Honors. It is rare to see a named set from this regiment, that has been kept together all these years. You can find single medals that are named, but hardly ever do you find a set. These are nicely framed in the original frame and glass. I took them out to verify that both medals are named to the same Soldier, and they are. These are Full Size medals. Each ribbon extends inside the frame about 1 inch more. These are original full size named medals and have the original ribbons. Each have matching serial #'s and name. Each one is marked: G-19948 ......... PTE. W. H. COZENS .......... R. SUSS. R. The medal on the left is the British War Medal, which looks like silver. The other is the WWI Victory Medal in bronze. Both are in very good condition. No damage. They have some tarnishing on the medals and the ribbons have some fading. Beautifully mounted and framed. Great set of named WWI medals!
