Excellent example of a WWII British Tommy Cooker, used most often by officers in the trenches. This one is complete and fully functional and appears to be made of very high grade stainless steel - either that or the tinning on it is perfect - I can't tell which. T is no corrosion. No dents. No pitting. Wick still intact. Comes with cloth bag for storage. No markings at all, which is not unusual. These cookers are often mentioned in memoirs of WWI British veterans such as Siegfried Sassoon's 'Memoirs of an Infantry Officer'. The history of wars is not written in medals and dress uniforms but in the things those soldiers carried with them into battle - little things like this cooker - sometimes the only reminder of civilization in a world of mud and fire.
