THIS 1912 SILVER DRINKING MUG IS ENGRAVED - "PRESENTED TO THE 26TH BDE R.F.A. BY CAPTAIN C.F. HAWKINS R.F.A., MAY 1912". STANDS 4 1/2" TALL. C- SHAPED HANDLE. NEAR THE HANDLE ARE SEVERAL SILVER HALLMARKS - "AC CO LTD", AN ANCHOR, A RAMPANT LION AND "M". BOTTOM IS HALLMARKED "THE ALEX CLARK COMPANY LTD., LONDON". HAS A FEW DINGS TO ITS HANDLE AND THE MOUTH IS SLIGHTLY MISSHAPEN. BEAUTIFUL ENGRAVING. MORE RESEARCH SHOULD BE DONE ON CAPT. C.F. HAWKINS OF THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY.
