It is finished with a gritty, sandy texture. The finish is uneven in some areas, by design, and in some areas it has been chipped away a bit. There are a few stray white/dark spots here and there. There are no cracks or breaks in the helmet. The inside has various scratches and scuffs, a bit of finish wear with some light spotty rust showing. The outer edge is particularly worn, with rust showing where the finish is worn away. There are two bales riveted into the helmet. They are sturdily intact; they swivel in their moorings. The leather in the liner is stiff but sturdy for the most part. The inside section of the liner is in better repair, with no large cracks or rips. The outer edge of the liner is rather more brittle, and has some areas of cracks and discoloration throughout. There are a few broken stitches, but the liner is in one piece and holding firm in the helmet."4F31" is stamped on the inside rim of the helmet.Being sold as is, as shown. SCROLL read more
