This is a nice WWI Canadian medal pair. The rim of the Service Medal is impressed "727801 PTE. G. GRIMDITCH. 58-CAN. INF." The rim of the Victory Medal is impressed "727801 PTE. G. GRIMDITCH. 58-CAN. INF." T is one bad rim nick above the period after his last name on the Victory Medal. The piece of paper found with the medals lists the casualty details. It states his name, nationality as Canadian, rank as Private, regiment is Canadian Infantry Central Ontario Regiment, Unit Text as "A" Coy, 58th Bn., date of death 28/06/1917, and cemetery as Barlin Communal Cemetery Extension. All items sold as is. Ask all questions before bidding. All items shipped by priority mail. Any items valued over $200. must be insured which starts at $16 for postage for Canada and $20 for postage for the UK plus insurance. Multiple purchases will be shipped together. Paypal or money orders only; no personal checks. Payment to be made within ten days of close of auction. Overseas buyers, be aware that Iâe(tm)ve had some packages take as long as 30 days to arrive in the United Kingdom and Canada due to other countriesâe(tm) mail systems.
