This is a late WWI French Adrian Helmet, painted the darker shade of blue. It comes with the RF flaming bomb badge affixed to the front, and has it's leather chin strap, although I don't know if that is original. The comb is missing one of it's four pins that hold it to the helmet, but is otherwise sound. The inside shows dirt and very minimal rust, mostly under the clips that hold the liner in place. Of the eight clips, only one is missing, but a liner can be properly held with the seven remaining. Included with this helmet are the four original corrugated aluminum pieces that attach to the clips, and provide rigidity to the cloth and leather liner. The liner included with the helmet is an accurately made reproduction, with black leather and horizon blue wool cloth. With the liner attched, this helmet is roughly a size US 7 1/4. If I remove the aluminum pieces, but keep the liner attached, I can wear this helmet with my size 7 1/2 head. The very unique aspect of this helmet is the soldier's signature on the rear brim. In script, he scratched his name "Jonbier", which is probably his last name. Please ask any questions prior to bidding, and I'll answer them to the best of my ability, as this is being sold as is.
