Curassier officers helmet of the period 1874-1900. These were still in use at the beginning of WWI. The helmet is all original with the exception of the chin strap (was missing so I purchased an exact copy specially made in France..NOT cheap. I searched for years for an original, and finally had to settle on this reproduction.) The plum I made for display. Not great, but looks ok. Those are the only two items not original to helmet. The cloth liner was for officers. Enlisted was leather. Chromium plated bowl with gilded medal ornamentation. Original horse hair mane. See all photos for better description, any other questions please message me. Absolutely beautiful piece! International shipping only to: North America, Western Europe, Scandinavia, Australia & New Zealand. NO EXCEPTIONS !I am a collector not a dealer. Do not pay until invoiced. Payment to be received within 3 days of end of auction.
