THIS IS AN AUCTION FOR A PIECE OF SOUVENIR FABRIC CLOTH FROM A DOWNED(?) FOKKER D7 AEROPLANE (AIRPLANE) FROM WWI GREAT WAR. ****NO RESERVE**** This fabric came to me via an acquisition of an estate sale in which t were many other oddities and curiosities in this man's personal collection. This was one . It appears to have been in a frame at one time and possibly matted and behind glass. T also appears to have been a "Name plate" of some sort which has been taken off or fell off(if item crash to the floor). I only knew it to be from a Fokker D7 because I flipped the fabric around to find information inked on the back as so. Heavy cardboard stock measures 9 3/4" X 12". Existing fabric present measures 7.5" X 8.5". T is a fold crease horizontal midway . Three colors are present: Green, yellow ochre, blue green. The colors seem to overlap forming a different shade of color. Fabric is a fine weave about 65-75 tpi. Fabric is dry and will crack if mishandled. Along the bottom appears an area different from the rest. I believe this to be w the tape was glued over the stitched rib area of wing(?). I can see small puncture holes in a zig zag along this edge w fabric was ripped from the stitches grip along the ribbing.
