This Model 1914 Sawback German Bayonet is in nice overall condition. It appears to have been cleaned, the hilt and the scabbard have definitely been cleaned at one time. The blade is in nice shape, it does have some slight blemishes, but no rust or pitting and it does not appear to have been sharpened. The ricasso has been ground on one side, I think maybe to have removed the maker marks. T is a crown W. on the back of the blade and also one on the pommel of the bayonet and one of the frog stud of the scabbard. The locking mechanism is in good working order, grips are in nice shape. The scabbard shows one small dent. The blade measures approx. 12 and 1/4 inches long the bayonet overall is 17 and 7/8 inches long.
