Nice example of a WWI German Picklehaube that is in very nice condition. I beleive this helmet is an enlistedman's as all the metal trim, spike, and eagle are a dull silver/grey metal. Helmets leather body is in very nice condition with much luster but both front visor and rear has the stiching given away...this could be easily restiched I think and you would have a very solid helmet. Interior liner is complete and is very nice soft leather. Helmet has the National Cockade one one side but nothing on the other side. Chin strap appears to be an older replacement but goes well with the helmet. The top spike can be unscrewed and removed. Buyer pays 12.00 for USPS Priority shipping with delivery confirmation. Insurance is requirred based on final auction price.. Buyer to send payment within five days of close of auction by money order, Paypal, or check, but checks must clear before your purchase is shipped.
