This is a complete uniform I got at an estate sale from a girl I went to high school with. She said it belonged to her grandfather. I know my WWII clothing and equipment, but I am not familiar with the earlier stuff. This looks like a WWI uniform, but it may be in between the wars. It has a pair of riding trousers that are laced on the bottom, five pockets with button fly and a cinch belt in the rear and also suspender buttons. The waist is 36" +. Paulie looks good in them! It is stamped on the pocket received F.E. Bent. NY B.B. & Co. In red stamping on the waste is hard to read, but I believe it says transportation - aviation - RIDER. It comes with a matching pair of leggings stenciled 16 on the inside. The jacket is a four pocket tunic also of cotton twill with the typical gold US Army buttons and epaulets. The bottom of the cuffs rise up into a chevron. But wait, we're not finished! T is a short black billed cap that was also with the uniform in the same cotton twill material with leather sweat band and a numeral 7 on the inside: probably the size. This also has the gold eagle buttons. The cap has some dirty storage stains, but the trousers, jacket and leggings are in perfect condition. My guess is that this is a pre WWII US Army uniform, if you know better, or can tell from the pictures, please let me know. Very good overall read more
