This lot consists of the following: WWI Victory Medal with 5 campaign bars. The ribbon is in pretty good condition. The bars are: Charlemagne-Marne, Aigne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne and Defensive Sector. On the back it is written The Great War for Civilization and the following countries: France, Italy, Serbia, Japan, Montenegro, Russia, Greece, Great Britain, Belgium, Brazil, Portugal, Romania and China 100% Original Vintage WWI German Iron Cross Medal M. It has a magnetic iron centre, made of the correct 3 pieces with the marker M in the suspension ring. The Cross comes with the original ribbon. 1916 WWI Battle of Verdun French Medal. On the front of the medal shows a soldier with sword raised and ready to fight with the words "Ils ne passeront pas" (they shall not pass). On the other side is the castle of Verdun. It is worn and the words on the back hard to read. These medals came from famiily member and are authentic. Great addition to a collection.
