WWI Replica Wood Airplane Propeller - 70 Inch Mahogany Our newest antique propeller replica features burgundy painted tips, a two-tone stain scheme and a pewter look metal covered hub. We found an attractive WWI era wood propeller that sold for thousands of dollars and downsized it slightly to make it fit most homes and offices. Hand carved and stained in the Philippines out of mahogany. Two-tone subtle striped stain pattern gives it the look of laminated props from long ago, and we've continued the authentic look with an eight bolt hub (later props had six) and painted crown logos on each blade. Dark stain around hub looks like it was naturally darkened from years of use. While many early props had less of a "pitch" than more modern versions, we've also lessened the pitch slightly so that the propeller will hang better on the wall. A full 70 inches in length, with a hub diameter of 5.5 inches and a blade width of just under six inches. Entire prop weighs less than six pounds and can easily be hung with included hardware.
