's an awesome set of WEARABLE vintage flying goggles from the First World War period. These were manufactured by CESCO, which stands for Chicago Eye Safety Company. CESCO was a very well known manufacturer of aviation goggles of the day and competed against such other companies as Harry Bugeliesen, Resistal, Willson, et. al. An identical set of these of British manufacture for use by the Royal Flying Corps can be seen on page 135 of Mick Prodger's excellent reference, "Vintage Flying Helmets." The condition of these goggles is excellent/used. The heavy, over-sized clear glass lenses are not chipped or cracked and show only some minor surface scratching. Vision is still good and crisp through them. The fabric surrounds are intact and undamaged, showing only some minor soiling. The chenille eye liner is clean and lush. The original elastic headstrap still retains about 60% of its original resilience. I believe you could still wear these today, that's how nice they are! Postage $6.50 to US locations (insurance optional); $13.00 internationally. Sold as-is and all sales are final. Please see my other auctions for more vintage aviation gear. Note: You are bidding on the goggles only; no other items shown are included in this auction. NICE, WWI VINTAGE AVIATION GEAR IN WEARABLE CONDITION IS GETTING VERY HARD TO FIND...DON'T LET THIS SET GET AWAY!
