WWII 1943 Dummy Training Rifle Mark 1 U.S.N. Parris-Dunn with Bayonet and Scabbard Original training rifle modeled after the 1903 Springfield rifle. This is a non-firing dummy rifle made for training only. It cannot fire under any circumstance. Made under contract in about 1943 for the U.S. military. Butt plate is marked "Dummy Training Rifle", "Parris-Dunn Corp", "Clarinda, Iowa". It has these additional features: -- moving bolt mechanism, movable trigger with audible -- butt plate has some rust and not all letters are readable -- bayonet with metal handle and release button, and plastic blade. Please note the plastic bayonet blade is broken as shown in the pictures. Both pieces are fully there and could be glued back together. I have made no attempt to clean, restore, or repair this dummy rifle and it's accessories. -- bayonet metal marked "B.M.Co." and what looks like "NORD-3066" and "U.S.N. Mark 1" -- metal on scabbard marked "U.S.N. MK 1" -- bayonet base seems to fit securely on end of rifle. It locks into place. Rifle has numerous scratches and wear marks that show it has been used. This is a cool piece of U.S. military history. Thank you for looking. Shipping to the U.S. only.
