WWII GURKHA RIFLES COLONELâe(tm)S SERVICE DRESS UNIFORM WITH UNIQUE SCARLET PIPED COLLARS, COMPLETE WITH MATCHING TROUSERS (2 Items) NAMED AND DATED 1945
WWII dated 2 nd Gurkha Rifles Colonelâe(tm)s Service Dress Uniform group. Four pocket Service Dress Uniform of very high quality Service Dress material. The uniform is lined throughout with beige silk type material The uniform has the unique bright red collar piping, which was only worn by the 2 nd Gurkha Rifles. Other matching insignia as follows: Matching blackened graduated shoulder rank badges for a Full Colonel serving with Rifles Regiments. Both shoulder straps also have blackened Kingâe(tm)s Crowns. The left arm has a dark green Officerâe(tm)s lanyard, indicating a Rifle Combat Unit. Complete set of matching black composition 2 nd Gurkha Rifle Regiment buttons. WWII Medal Ribbons: 39/45 Star , Burma Star and British War Medal ribbons. Both the uniform and trousers are an exact match for colour and material. The jacket has two tailorâe(tm)s coloured silk embroidered labels reading: Welsh & Jefferies Ltd. Saville Row, London . The trousers also have a label with the same tailor named Both the uniform and trousers are clearly marked with the original ownerâe(tm)s full name and dated 1945.
