WWII 8th AIR FORCE BRITISH MADE UNIFORM w/ GAUNT WINGS

The item up for bid is a stellar WWII completely English made uniform jacket that belonged to a member of the mighty eighth air force. This jacket is about a size 37R. The jacket has all British made insignia to the coat. The navigator wings are made by JR Gaunt of London and is nicely marked to the back of the wing. All of the insignia is also British made including 1st Lieutenant bars also the US and wing and prop devices are also marked J.R. Gaunt London. The tunic was manufactured by Watt. Thexton Co. Ltd. of London W. Even the buttons are manufactured by JR Gaunt and Sons of London. A unique feature of this uniform jacket is that is has a frontal watch pocket located in were the waist seam is present. You cannot see it unless you know it is t The pocket is satin lined as well as the rest of the uniform. T is a couple of moth holes but nothing to serious and the main one is on the bottom of the coat as seen in the photos. The 8th Air Force bullion patch is also Brit made. This is one of the best theater made uniforms I have ever seen. Although not identified I will be offering other British made items from this estate. Unfortunately none of the items were named and I bought it second hand from leaving the estate. Please look at my other great military items currently on ebay.
