Authentic WWII Flight Jacket with Painted Nose Art TYPE A-2 DRAWING NO.30-1415 A.A.F. CONTRACT NO.W535-ac-27753 PROPERTY AIR FORCES, U.S. ARMY You are bidding on a authentic piece of american history, a genuine A-2 jacket that was wore in combat during WWII. I Purchased this jacket from the brother of a local WWII vet who died in 1989. His brother served in England and France and flew missions over the English Channel as a gunner on a B-17. The jacket is all original and in wonderful condition for its age. The painting on the back was done in England while he was stationed t, the painting is signed Rudy or Ruby. William Keeler's name and service number are on the liner. The leather is still soft and pliable. One wool cuff has a rip and it has a few very small moth holes in waistband, other then that it is in great overall condition. I will be more then happy to answer any question you may have about this jacket so please don't hesitate to ask. I am posting quite a few pictures and will take more if neededJacket is a size 40, sleeves measure 24 inches from top of sleeve to bottom of cuff and 19 inches from pit to bottom of cuff. Across back measures 25 inches from top of collor to bottom of waistband, 22 inches from pit to pit, and 20 inches shoulder to shoulder, Will ship worldwide but will not lie on cutoms papers, buyer pays calculated
