100 % REAL World War Two Army Air Forces Officers Crusher Visored Cap / Hat, Size 7. This crusher has the soft, flexible visor and the round padded rim around the inside of the cover. The Cap is named to Second Lieutenant Thomas N Smiley (see the original card still inside the cap). The original markings are stamped inside of the leather sweat band and it is dated January 2, 1945, all the markings are still readable. The officer's crest, the visor, both bands, the rear buckle, the sweat band and all stitching look good and are very solid. The Army Officer's Crest is the hard to find large Early World War II "Victory Eagle" style with the olive branch connected to the eagle's tail and the large V wings. The only detractor is a small spot that looks like green latex paint on the upper front left of the felt, see the picture. It is actually harder to see in person, it really stands out in the picture. The spot may clean off, I have not tried at all. This Crusher displays very nice and looks better in person, it would make an excellent addition to your collection or for your reenactments. If you read the description and look at the pictures, you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind that this is a REAL crusher, with the dual bands and soft, flexible visor, not one somebody has messed with. Shipping will be $14.00 (includes insurance) within the continental US and more for out of the US, I require that all bidders outside the US pay by Pay Pal.
