What a super piece of WWII militaria - an original photo album that features over 500 black and white period photos. Album has a leather-bound cover that features an engraved image of a B25 bomber (on front and back) and has three applied patches, includes a super bullion style wings patch with silver metal threads, etc., and 9th and 4th US Air Force patches (may have been one other, but is missing). Contains 50 two-sided pages with over 500 period WWII photos (t were some post-war images added by the original family - not many, mostly WWII period). This album belonged to a Corporal Hanns and contains photo of pilot training at Moody Field in Georgia, 1943. Album also includes several images taken while stationed in the Pacific on Hawaii and in England. You can't say enough about the photos - includes great aviation images with airplanes, nose art, soldiers working on aircraft, training sessions with airplane models, etc., etc.... The best part is that they are mostly all identified or have captioned text. Photos also include Hawaii Air Base and off duty scenes - including nude hula dancers, girl friends, military friends and officers, etc., etc. - just tons of great photos. Album is clean and intact (some missing spots and a few places w photos are no loner t but overall clean, complete and damage free. Measures a large 16" X 12" X 1½" thick, a photo diary journal of US Army life circa 1943 during WWII - album looks and displays well and is guaranteed old and authentic...
