WWII "HOOD RUBBER CO" HELMET LINER Ultra rare Hood Rubber Company WWII helmet liner. Fewer than 5% of WWII helmet liners were made by this manufacturer. This one is a gem. It is as MINT as you are going to find. T are some scuffs (very few!) on the OD paint and the leather chinstrap shows some minor stretching and marks left from the clasp adjustment. The leather sweatband is soft and supple. The leather chinstrap is still very strong and the cam buckle, rivets and garter clips are early war OD (Olive Drab). In addition it is stamped with a red "H", which I assume is Hood Rubber's mark. Khaki colored webbing is pristine with OD "A-frame" rivet washers showing virtually no wear. Both neckband and sweatband made by "Gem Dandy, Inc." Zero corrosion on any of the metal hardware.Good luck bidding!Need more pictures or info? Just ask.
