Up for bid is an original WWII Airborne Engineers officers uniform . The group includes the Ike jacket, shirt, pink pants, and overseas cap. The jacket does not have a size tag present but measures to a size 34 or so. The jacket has a ll insignia intact including a nice JR Gaunt marked London made jump wing. The clasp on the wing is bent and I could not get it off of the jacket to photograph the back for fear of breaking the pin. I do guarantee that the wing is 100% authentic WWII. The shoulders have Sterling marked Luxemburg 1st Lt. rank in signia. The jacket has 82nd Airborne and Allied airborne patches. The allied Airborne patch on the right sleeve is a nice felt one and possibly British made ? The neck of the jacket has Cappa stamped in small letters. It is very faded but readable, the PPA is more legible th an the CA . The pink pants do not have a ny size tagging. The waist measures to a size 30 or so. The pants have some wear and a few small stains. The pants have Cappa, A.J. written on one of the inner pockets. The shirt is made by Coronet and has the 82nd and allied airborne patches and also a red & gray wing sewn on the chest. I have been told by one Airborne collector that he thought the wing on the shirt was slightly post WWII. The shirt came with the other items, so I'm pretty comfortable that it belonged to the same read more
