This auction is for one vintage M1 United States Army Helmet and Liner. It is in good condition considering it's age. The only defect other than paint scrapes is the chin strap on the liner has separated. It has swivel bales and a front seem. The chin strap on the helmet is sewn rather than having metal clasps. Given these factors I believe that this helmet is probably circa 1943 or 1944. I was unable to find any identifying manufacture markings. The liner does have crossed checkered flags with the number 27 on it. View in above picture. This leads me to believe that the helmet was probably used in the signal corp. But this is all just conjecture on my part.
