This is an ORIGINAL pair of early WWII era Duty or Combat trousers in excellent condition. Made of Olive-Brown wool material,the pants have a couple of small nicks to material and a small cut (Looks like somebody tried to use a paper hole punch to it) to left outside leg but none of these are very detractive. Couple of dots of stain and a small smear of light stain to rear left below pocket. But,it (as are the other stains) is light and not too detractive. Still have sharp creases to legs from laundering. Signs of light overall wear. Has slash pockets to side,slash pockets to rear with no buttons for closure,and watch pocket. Has all O/D brown plastic buttons for cortch closure (5),gas flap,and interior for suspenders but has belt loops to waist as well. Interior is white cotton linen with numerous issue stamps. Has outstanding QM/Maker tag with May 30,1942 pattern date and Jan 16,1943 manufacture date (See Pic)...fairly early in the war. Marked "Special" trousers which is probably a reference to the gas flap/anti-exposure feature of the fold under flap. Size marked a 31 X 31,Waist measures at 30" with a couple of inches of material at back for tailoring. Inseam meaurse at 31". Nice set of early WWII era US Army Combat trousers!
