This is a 5 day auction for an original WWII Flight Intermediate Jacket Type B-15A size 36. It is in very good condition for this type. T are some signs of use such as light stains and a run in the fabric near the left pocket. The cuff and waist knit are in the best shape one could expect. This jacket has not been cleaned and is just as it was found recently in an old estate. T are two triangular leather pieces to clip the oxygen lines to the chest and straps to hold radio wires under the armpits The Army Air Forces stencil is light on the shoulder and t is a faintly present stencil in white on the inside of the left side zipper. The zipper marked Conmar and the straps under the armpits have Kikit Pull snaps. The collar is clean stable and has the extra fur section/strap that wraps around to cover the front of the neck. All of the snaps zippers and buttons are in place and working. This Flight Jacket appears to be 100% original, meaning no replacements or repairs just honest wear. The alpaca lining is clean and stable. The jacket smells good w/ no musty odor. The cuffs just above the knit have some scuffs from working on equipment. T is a small oil or ink stain on the right elbow. The tag in side reads Jacket, Intermediate Flying TYPE B-15A Specification No. 3220-A Size......36 Stock No. Order No.(33-038)45-5108AF Metro Sportswear INC.Property, U.S. Army, Air Forces. T is a pen pocket on the left sleave that has four seperate places for pens or the like. This is a good example of a rare Type b-15a Flight Jacket. Please send us your questions.
