German Uboat Badge in SILVER rare wide needle system and Maker! To the ebaypolice. No reason for deletion. This auction does not include prohibited items or symbols. This article corresponds to the German Order Act of 1957. The Uboat Badge clasp is marked on the needle "1" - GERMAN HIGHEST QUALITY MANUFACTURER. The maker lost its LDO license in 1943, but was supposed to take over production after Bombardment of Godet, Berlin. a very reputable maker of german award until the late 60's when they gave up production. This is a very nice piece, in considering its age - great condition! The Badge itself is marked "800" for highest quality. The U-boat War Badge was originally instituted during the First World War on February 1, 1918. It was awarded to recognize U-boat crews who had completed three war patrols. The badge was worn on the lower left side of the uniform and was oval shaped resembling a wreath of laurel leaves. A submarine lay across the center and the Prussian Crown was inlaid at the top center of the wreath. Small surface scratches, no deep scratches or damages to the badge or the needle. The needle system is still full functional! The badge is a rare find in this condition and a great addition to any true collection. The award case and the decoration are not part of the auction.
