20 inch long, heavy duty machette. The blade is 1/8 thick. I believe this to be a military machette. A stamp on the blade consists of a large crown with a man's arm holding a hammer jutting out of it, and the words Legitimus, Collins & Co, Made in USA No 1250 and 1940 underneath . The handle is made of what looks like some dense dark wood, with brass rivets. The whole machette is in very good condition, although it bears some marks of being used, ie. the edhe is dulled in places; but for a tool of this sort it is in very good shape. T is surface rust which is normal for this type of steel and can be cleaned. The leather sheath however isn't in so great a shape. The leather is hard and t are big cracks in it on both edges. The rear leather attachement loop is ripped. The leather sheath can only be used for display and not for functional carrying around. T is a large green stripe on white background painted at the top of the sheath.
