A nice WWll Cross of Military Service presented by the United Daughters of the Confederacy to descendents of Confederate veterans who served honorably for the Cause. This one bears the dates 1941 - 1945 and the motto "Fortes Creantur Fortibus ( The Brave Beget The Brave ) 1861 - 1865". The back of the medal is numbered 5699 with the makers mark "MAC N.Y." for the Medalic Art Co. The medal is in excellent condition. The ribbon has some soiling. I know the recipient was from Virginia. If the family will give me the name I will pass it on the the winner. Fresh from a Connecticut estate and sold without reserve. Shipping in the U.S. is $3.50 first class mail with delivery confirmation. I will also be listing a Richmond Light Infantry Blues anniversary framed print on cloth from the 1920's from the same estate. I do not end auctions early or use Buy it Now.
