WWII Liberation Flag Wow! This auction is for an absolutely amazing piece of World War II history. This little red and white flag comes from the Liberation of Denmark (and the Netherlands) back on May 5, 1945. Canadian and British forces pushed out the Germans officially on this day, and I am sure this flag was made to show the Dutch appreciation during a parade or something similar. It is completely hand woven and is very well made from a silky material and gold thread. On the side it has an image of the Christian X of Denmark crest and has the date May 5, 1945. Then it has his motto below. It is a great piece and guaranteed old and original. It was brought back by a US soldier who was stationed in Europe and was probably in Denmark when the celebrated. Measures about 9" long and 5" tall. Has the original silk rope for attaching to whatever. In great condition! Bidder pays $3.50 for shipping and handling via USPS Mail within the United States. International bidders please email me for shipping cost if they are not disclosed in the below Shipping and Handling section. Also, International Bidders please keep in mind that all items with a final closing value of US$20.00 or more will require insurance. It is very inexpensive and will protect the shipment against loss. Insurance will be purchased from a 3 rd party insurer (find out
