VINTAGE 1940'S BERMAN HAND PAINTED CANVAS 8TH AAF B-17 728TH BS A2 JACKET PATCH. THE PATCH MEASURES 5" AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR BEING SOME 60 YEARS OLD ! In 1936, David Berman, Brother of famous Hollywood costumier Monty Berman, moved from London to Los Angeles and started his own costume company, Max Berman and Sons (named after his Father). The Berman Family was famous throughout the Hollywood for their accurate and historically correct movie costumes. They specialized in military uniforms. I recently purchased a Hollywood collection of hand painted Berman military patches, made specifically by Berman and Sons for RKO Radio Pictures Studios. The patches are beautifully and accurately painted on canvas and depict numerous Squadrons and Groups of WWII. I collect only USAAF articles and will be selling all of the USN, USMC, Coastal Patrol, Civil Air Patrol, duplicate USAAF and Foreign military patches in the collection. These patches are all from the mid 1940âe(tm)s to very early 1950âe(tm)s are in wonderful condition ! I will describe each patch as best I can. Some of these patches are selling on Ebay and internet sites for 30.00usd and much higher. Because I bought a huge collection, I can start the bidding much lower. These patches are very old, well made, accurate and are a great investment.
