The postage listed in the auction is only an estimate!, I repeat, only my estimate. Correct postage will be on your invoice. Offered today is a wartime era OD overseas or garrison cap. The piping is for infantry with the parachute infantry patch on the officer side.. The hat does not have a size tag but measures 10 7/8 inches when laid flat. The infantry piping is different from the others that I am offering. Little bit classier. The hat is a private purchase piece with a leather sweatband. The captain bars are English made with the unique British pin attachment on the back. The parachute infantry patch is also English made with a wool base and then the embroidery. T is some mothing to the wool portion of the patch but the backing material on the patch does not allow the khaki to show through. Displays well but it is noticeable when held close to the eye. Be advised. Also be advised that t are two small moth holes, one on each side, both toward the base of the cap. The one is approximately 1/16 in diameter and the other is roughly 1/8 in diameter. The khaki material that is in back of the holes reduces the appearance of the two holes, but they are present. Notice this is the "later" style of garrison cap with the pointed corners at the peak. Passes the blacklight test. Postage will be first class mail with delivery confirmation in read more
