You are bidding on a data cd, details below, containing nearly 850 files, of which 92 are photos. The printed matter is scanned at 100, while the rest is 150-300, depending on size of print detail. Paper copies previously advertised and sold through Kitplanes Magazine.********************ALL OF THE FOLLOWING HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL, HISTORICAL, AND RESEARCH PURPOSES, OR ACADEMIC STUDY, ARE PROVIDED FOR REFERENCE USE ONLY, AND ARE NOT INTENDED FOR AIRCRAFT CONSTRUCTION.******************** 1) WWII Fieseler Storch (German)----- (Note: This description is for the paper copies) These copies are mostly in German and about 85 are exploded details from parts manuals. T are 3-view drawings of the model C-1 and C-2 (C-2 has a machine gun turret) with measurements in millimeters of various dimensions. The copies are very good in picture form but do not give details on the type and thickness of structural steel, and other materials. The Stinson frame drawing is included and should be similar to the frame of a full scale Storch. Packet includes several of the different slat studies and the wing profile (8 1/2 inch x 11 inch copy) of the wing and slat actually used. The Storch wing has a CL of 5.1. The drawings show the control means, attachments, styles, etc. of the different control surfaces including 2 types for the aileron/flaperon setup. (The ailerons were flaperons) The horizontal stabilizer was also adjustable. My copies also give good information on the flight data and weight of different models and their components. T are 2 copies that are 11 x 17 and the rest are 8.5 x 11. (Note: This info is included on the cd, and 3 paper copies left) The cd has 192 copies and the printed copies are about 180)******************** Note: Most of the above blueprints were put on 35mm film for storage not long after they were taken from Germany by the US troops. The prints were recently copied onto paper of different sizes and reduced to varying degrees. The degree of clarity on the copies varies from poor to excellent and are over 90 percent legible. The information on some copies duplicates information on others, so what might not be legible on one copy may be legible on another. Some common information like motor data, wiring data, covering data, floorboard data, etc., are excluded due to the number of copies required for duplication and the easy availability of this information elsew******************** 2) ONE 560 page Fieseler Storch parts manual is available for $100 USA, write for all other countries, and price includes postage. Printed in German and French. All copies 8.5 x 11 inches. (Note: This is included on cd.)******************** TIDBITS OF STORCH HISTORY An early Fieseler Storch was piloted by Hanna Reitsch in the Deulschland-Halle. This is the building in Germany that was completely enclosed, and the flight around the inside of the building was viewed by many spectators and filmed. The Storch is the only airplane to this day that has taken off, flown in circles, and then landed within a completely enclosed building--and that building was fairly small. The exact date in 1939 for this famous flight is unknown to me at this time but it was probably in February. Hanna was sent into Berlin to rescue Hitler and others with a Storch at the end of the war, and she landed in a street. Hitler refused to go with her and that turned out to be the last of his faulty drug additctd decisions. Hanna was the only female German pilot to ever receive the Iron Cross for her test pilot bravery in the many German flying inventions of the time. Hanna was only 5 feet tall. In the early part of 1940 a Fieseler Storch was stripped of all non-essential flying equipment and the motor was modified to 300 hp. During this test the Storch lifted off the ground with no ground roll when the engine was firewalled. The prop blast over the wing was enough to create the needed lift.
