Original WWII Front Seam helmet with swivel bales and stainless rim. This helmet has its original cork and first coat paint! The insignia's have been added and carefully hand painted and highly detailed to show the effects of age and field wear. The insignia's represent a Lt. with the 502nd PIR during WWII. Has khaki bar-tacked M1C chinstraps with early war brass raised bar hardware. Helmet liner is an original WWII Westinghouse that has been re-configured to airborne configurations in every single detail. Comes complete with mid war cotton khaki chincup, od "A" straps with aged early war buckles, khaki sweatband with od clips and leather liner chinstrap. The helmet is an original mid war front seam swivel bale. It is in outstanding condition with all of its original cork and paint, it does have some minor rusting from 60+ years of age.
