German 84/98 bayonet for the K98 Mauser rifle. This is an pre-war manufacture Elite Diamante bayonet made in 1937. The markings are Elite Diamante on one side of the blade, 572 over "d" on the other side, and 37 on the top (spine). The blade has not been sharpened. Minor scabbard abraision of the bluing on the blade otherwise it is an excellent example of a pre-war K98 bayonet. No rust, beautiful dark hardwood wood handle insets, the release button works, t are 2 small eagles stamped on the handle on the opposite side from the release button, and the tip is in excellent shape. Please see the photos. The scabbard does not match, but it is a pre-war S/245 made in 1936 and numbered 2687 over "a". The scabbard has a couple of dents and rust spots, but is in good condition - please see the photos. Shipping:The shipping cost for this item is $8.00 for priority mail to addresses in the continental US. I will ship military items only to addresses in the US. If the item sells for greater than US $50.00 please add insurance to the cost of the shipping. I suggest that all items sent through the mail be insured regardless of the item's value. Shipping is the next business day after I receive payment by pay-pal or postal money order.
